Tina, 69, ran her first marathon in Hong Kong in 2007 and since then she has completed the Luton, Chicago, Budapest, Brighton and Medoc marathon.

This will be Tina's fourth London Marathon and the retired finance manager is one of 17 members of Brentwood Running Club who will be running as part of #TeamSFH on Sunday, April 28th.  Tina Leung and Julie Buckley (cropped)

"I am very grateful that the club gave me one of its valuable club places and I am very proud to support Saint Francis Hospice, which is our club's nominated charity," said Tina, who lives in Shenfield.

"I joined the club in 2004 after one of my friends was very keen to do the marathon after watching it on TV.

"Unfortunately, she dropped out but I was hooked."

Being part of Brentwood Running Club means Tina isn't short of a training partner and the excellent support she receives means she is in good shape for the challenge ahead.

"I can't wait for the day," said Tina.

"My target is a Good for Age time, which is Sub 6 hour for my age group, but if the conditions are good, I hope to finish in less than 5.30 hours."
