Big Orange Virtual Quiz to kick off big bank holiday weekender

Last year's quiz brought 1,000 of our supporters together and raised a whopping £13,000. Yet, like many things since the coronavirus took hold, this year's frolics will have to go online.

The quiz will kick off the summer bank holiday weekend in style on Friday 28th August. Returning as our epic hosts are six-time World Snooker Champion, Steve Davis, and Phoenix FM DJ, Ian Leigh.

"After a rough few months for many, I feel that better times are just on the horizon," Steve declared. "It was an unbelievable turnout last year, but we're not going to let social distancing stop us from having just as good a time. If everyone could return through a thousand little squares on my screen, then it's sure to be another incredible night!"

There will be four exciting rounds to test your knowledge. It's the perfect opportunity for your family and friends to split into teams, or play individually, and pit your wits against each other. Steve and Chris will ask the questions before revealing the answers at the end. Then, it'll be time for you to (truthfully) tally up your points.

Your prize if you win:

Bragging rights over your friends and family.

"I don't really have an area of expertise," revealed the ever-humble Steve.

"People often expect me to know which snooker player won what in which year, but I'm not an anorak in that. I didn't even watch bundles of snooker when I was a pro.

"I'm more of a 'doer' than a 'watcher'. Snooker isn't like football or boxing, so trying to pick up on an opponent's weakness didn't warrant wading through piles of videos. I always felt that I wasn't playing the player but more the table and balls.

"If you're looking for a brainy quizmaster who knows the answer to everything, then I'm afraid you're out of luck. The only thing I've ever had any knowledge of is how to get a ball in a hole with a pointy stick!"

You can enter while doing something amazing for local people living with life-limiting illnesses here for just £5. Good quizzing and good luck!
