Henry, 9, wanted to do something for charity in lockdown, and the family decided to donate all monies raised to the Hospice.

Louise's cousin was receiving care at the hospice, and after his recent passing, hitting their goal was even more important.

We've had nearly every season under the sun over the last few weeks: rain, snow, sunshine, and more rain, but this hasn't deterred Henry and his family from currently being 146 miles into their 250-mile challenge.

Whether it's afternoon walks as a family, or jumping on a treadmill when they can't get outside, every member of the Bowyer family has been walking and running their way closer to their target.

Others outside their family have also got involved by donating their miles - but only under one condition, as long as they walk as a group.

"Since doing it we've had people donating their miles to us which has been great, and although 250 miles was a lot in hindsight, we've been getting out as much as possible, and it's nice to do it as a family," Louise said.

This third national lockdown has been difficult for all of us, and Louise highlighted that we had the benefit of sunshine and warm weather in previous lockdowns, so it's even more of an achievement that they've completed (and close to smashing) their target despite the current circumstances.

At the hospice, we're completely blown away by Henry's motivation and idea to do this challenge, and although he's very modest and refusing to take credit, we'd like to say a personal thank-you to Henry for coming up with such a wonderful challenge.

Although we are in unprecedented times, it's amazing to see families coming together to raise money and have fun doing it together.
